Restriction Problem
Saturday, September 5, 2009 by DaveBax | Discussion: New Releases
Hello, I'm using Windows7. I mess around from time to time as most do no the computer. however I can't remember anything I did to cause the problem I now have. When I open email and click on a mail address for new mail my mail program would always open also when i receive any mail that has a link in it like from Newegg or a tech email now I click on the link and get a message I never received before and it is a real pain as I have to copy and paste the link in my browser same with the email address. Here is what pops up in a window.
"This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator"
I am the administrator and only one listed or uses this computer. This started about a week or 2 ago. Any ideas as to what is causing this/ Thank you, Dave

I have that reg key in Vista but has changed in win7 and not named as what was explained. Have been looking around for an answer and read a few other things but none worked. It only happens with Outlook as the links work for on whatever browser I'm using. I will just keeo checking.

Try using system restore to go back before the problem started.

Thanks shel but I have to save work I did before I do that. I tried some other things but nothing appears to work so I guess a restore is all I have left. I would delete the entire partition and install the Rc again but don't know if the key will still work.
