Impulse issues

I've been a subscriber to ODNT for years... when Impulse came out, looked nice and worked quickly. Now... Impulse is dead dog slow. I have opened it up this morning to see if I had any updates and of course I did because I usually only open Impulse once a month unless Imbored. I saw that DeskScapes needed to updated among a few so I clicked on the update button for deskScapes.... that was 10 minutes ago ... Last month I noticed quite a bit of sluggishness and slowness to boot. It looks like I am going to have to go to task manager to kill Impulse. This is the second attempt to try to update.... it always seems to get stuck on "Verifying Download..."
What do I need to do to get this going again?? Im really tired of stuck applications and Impulse (at least on my machines) hanging up on verifications. I have been a paid subscriber for a long time and really havent had much if anything to complain about, but this is getting annoying. If i cant get updates what am I supposed to do. From a user stand point (im a software developer) it appears to be broken. Especially when I have to kill it through task manager.
So can I get some help? What info do you need from me? Im running on XP with the latest SP's.... I have the latest framework updates (I code using VS2008 so I would have to have those anyways).... whats wrong with Impulse????

Do you let (or do you manually tell) Impulse to look for updates for itself?
Have you reset the data?
what version are you running?

Anyone know why this stupid impulse thing is refusing to accept the god damn serral code on my game its pissing me off all i wanna do is be able to update by galciv 2 endless unverse now its giving me crap about invalid serial codes i mean its the same damn code i put in when i installed the game whats the problem here.

It would be best to send us your Impulse error log and your startup/dxdiag info so we can check to see what is going on. This post will tell you how to gather this info up to send to us: https://forums.stardock.com/341573
Once you have the files, shoot them over to us in an email at support@stardock.com
