Deskscapes starts with a black screen, and....
...works always only at the 2nd try!

Hi again....
"Long time no see"... would be a fun line to start with.
But... its no fun. I REALLY have all required Codecs, i really did a LOT to get Deskscapes running PROPERLY.
Now... the Situation is as following:
I choose a Dream... configure its appearence... click on apply... and a black Desktop is the Result.
Trying that procedure a 2nd time... it works (sometimes with the 3rd try).
I run Win XP SP III... the Graphicdriver is the latest; Nvidia Gforce 9500 GT... a medium priced Card, but does its Job well with everything like Games, 3D-Programs like VUE, Poser 7, also 2D...like Photoshop... in short: The CARD and DRIVER are runnin smoothly!
Why the hell do i have that Problem like described in the beginning???
Has anybody had the same Effect? Starting only at the 2nd try???
And to the Programmers: Do YOU have any Idea? I really LOVE Deskscapes... and in VISTA (i run a Dual-Boot-System with XP+VISTA) there are NO PROBLEMS!
Please, please... give me a hint somebody.
Many Thanx and don`t get me wrong: I don`t CURSE here... i`m near crying tears, even if its "only" a little Desktop-Toy.
Greetz from Germany, Revanito

Sometimes broken codecs can cause this or this can usually happen when you have more than one codeck pack installed with a media player with inbuilt codecs which can cause codec interferance and result into what you've mentioned.

What version of deskscapes are you running?
Are you on a laptop or a desktop?
Which kinds of dreams (video or dynamic)?
All dreams or just a select few?
