Newbie drowning

Monday, August 24, 2009 by pugsley9333 | Discussion: DesktopX

Im just getting my feet wet with desktopx and i'm trying to figure out how to set targets for objects. The problem I'm having is that I cant find a way to link the "RUN" or "Search" with windows xp. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Oh and I dont have DesktopX Pro because I read somewhere you can click and drag the files to the object to link them. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

R-click on an object. Go to Properties > General tab and click on Change object type. In the dropdown, choose System. A second dropdown will appear; Run is listed there as well as Find (search).

object type > 1st drop down - system / 2nd drop down - run

object type > 1st drop down - system / 2nd drop down - find

Thank you to everyone who posted. The forums here are a lot better than most of the other websites I've visited. It sucks being a newbie at this stuff.
