Vista windowBlinds work with my XP,sp.3

Tuesday, August 18, 2009 by Hylander59 | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I have seen a few WB's that I like but they were for Vista OS.but I thought I would take the chance and use them anyway on my system, which is XP with SP.3 and they seem to work great,my Question is why?and will it cause system instability later on down the road?

I know I should just be glad they work,     But I hada ask.

I've running them on xp with no issues other than little parts that seem slight off

A lot of the skins have both a vista and xp substyle

Right I do understand substyles,at least the WB,s that show them in the WB.config.how ever these blinds I have down loaded say for Vista only,or if I understand you correctly you are saying all WB's work on XP.

No instability.  Worst case scenario using Vista Skins on XP is that some UI elements may not look correct.  For instance, skinning the XP start menu vs. the Vista one.
