Brutalism........................................the resultant concrete boxes of this are slowly being dynamited out of existence though, it was the black ages of architecture to me but I know it was to get the most function and facilities for as many people as possible for as a minimal cost as possible after the WW2 destruction. How concrete external walls with the evidence of the shuttering and consequent overspills can be regarded as visually appealing is beyond me; but then in France the Le Corbusier designed buildings are a lot more aesthetic than here and I think it is not just the longer hours of sunshine beyond that which Britain/Ireland have that is the reason for their perceived increase in acceptability.

Money...............is it well spent?  Or can I do better by myself I kinda like my own stuff hangin around.  They don't know

 what I like or dislike.  There are some beautiful places out there though......
