*.icl and *.iptheme files
How to convert to *.ip format files

I have been running across a number of icon files in the icons gallery that I have no clue how to handle. Unlike the files formatted with the ".ip" extension, these icon files come in two parts... one with ".icl" and the other with ".iptheme" extensions. How do I go about converting them to the current ".ip" format so I can apply them using Icon Packager 5?

Except when I click on the .iptheme file, an error message pops up and says there are no icons in the theme file. It's right of course, because alll the icons are in the .icl file associated with it. If I click on the .icl file, it opens the icon developer program, which I have no clue how to use. I don't thinnk this is an Iconpakager 5 bug because I have tried opening these files before under earlier verions of the program and got similar results.

I had this problem before, and what I did was use IconDeveloper to extract the images from the .icl file. Open IconDeveloper, go to file, batch processing and then extract icons from a collection to a folder. Select the .icl file you want extracted and click open. You then will be asked to chose where you want the extracted files located. I save them in the same folder where the .icl file is. Then I move the whole folder to the IconPackager folder, which you should be able to find under users, public, Stardock, Iconpackager. It should then show up as one of the icon packages when you open IconPackager. I hope this helps.

I'll give that a try, but it willl have to wait 'til tomorrow somtime (I'm way past my bedtime), I'lll try to get back and tell all if it worked for me.

Try going into IconPackager and click on "Add Icon Package", then click on "Install From Disk", browse to the package you want, and select it. I just tried that with a package that had a separate .icl file, and it installed that way, but didn't when I double-clicked on the .iptheme file.

you should just be able to click the .iptheme
icon packages come as
.ip
.iconpackage
.iptheme
