IconPackager (Free)?
But I paid for it... an now it's shareware

Yesterday I ran impulse (as usual), and after an small update I saw many updates available... among others, Windows Blinds 7, and IconPackager... but it was listed as IconPackafer (Free).
After installing it... since I was not able to do so under my Windows 7 RC testing machine before, I found it was showing a 30 days trial period (although my Object Descktop subscription is current). So I uninstalled it and used Stardock Central to install IconPackager (version 4.10), now I am getting an update again from Impuse but for IconPackager (Free).
I do not undestand this... if I install the "trial" how do I get it updated to the full version again?

Me too.... current OD subscriiber but All I'm seeing in Impulse is IP Free. Thought it may have been just in Win 7 due to compatibility and OS recognition, but the same is true in Vista, where previously the full version has always shown up.

Makes no difference... IP Free still showing (Win 7 RC)

That's what I thought, but it is also showing in Vista as the free version. Weird!

I'm running XP and I'm not seeing the free
I am seeing an update to ControlCenter dated 6/1/2009 when it hasn't been updated since 3/27/2006 (just before I had Impulse update its data it showed 6/18/2008)
I am seeing an update to Fences dated 3/18/2009 when I just downloaded it yesterday and clicked the update button, which told me I already have the newest version
and trying to actually update either using Impulse doesn't work

Well, I am now testing on my Laptop (Which also dual boots to Win 7 RC) this time no IconPackager product is available (not even the Free one)

We are looking into it. It should not be affecting your enjoyment of the product though. Don't install an update for a free (trial) app if you have the full app installed.

IconPackager should be showing up correctly now. We had a problem with xml data on our end.
If it isn't showing up properly for you try this:
Go to Preferences (under the orb)
In the General, click on the button "Reset Data".
Impulse will go through what appears to be an update and when all is done, you should see IconPackager properly.

Ok, IconPackager is now showing (witout the Free thing) but I am not able to install it under Windows 7 RC 64 bits... I get the "This program is not compatible with your current Operating System" dialog.
Is this correct? When the free software was showing, it did let me install under Windows 7 while the non-shareware version will not. Is this correct? Is IconPackager actually not yet compatible (at the beta level) with the RC yet?

This probably has nothing to do with this thread but since it's about iconpackager I thought I'd maention it.
Two days ago I visited cnet.com and found a public version of iconpackager. Is this the same as the trial version or is it one with limitations only? Just curious.

Thank you. Oh...I saved to my flash drive. Does the trial start after I install it? Or is that a stupid question?![]()
