Stardock and Windows 7
Which, when, and what is supported

There needs to be a sticky with regards to this. So hopefully we can get some answers about this upcoming OS called Windows 7. So here are three general questions regarding this.
Which Stardock software (ie. WindowBlinds, DeskScapes, IconPackager, DesktopX, etc.) can run on Windows 7?
When, if the software is not supported under Windows 7, can we expect basic/preliminary support for this OS for any of the Stardock software?
What, if the software is supported under Windows 7, features can be used and what limitations do we have with regards to any of the Stardock software?
It's a safe bet to say that we will see support for Windows 7 soon. We do know that there will be a beta providing some support for Windows 7. I currently run Windows 7 x64 at this time and so far, the OS has been great. But I am curious about this, since many software developers would tell us up front that they do not support a pre-release OS (aka the Vista fiasco).

Right now, Fences is the only app that I am aware is supported to work on Windows 7. LogonStudio has provisional support, and many other apps like ObjectDock, Multiplicity, etc. work pretty well on Windows 7, but are not officially supported yet.
Windows 7 has not been released, so patience will need to be given. Once updates and betas are up, there will be plenty of news about it.

I'm using windows 7 rc and have yet to have a vista program not work. 7 is like a very polished version of vista. I'm loving it. So far only tried demigod and impulse - both work perfect.

Why dont you just load up Windows 7 your self and see? You can get the Release Candidate & CD Key from here : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
You will have full use of Windows 7 until March 2010.

Object Dock works on Win 7. Why any software company will make softwares for a pre-release OS... How many buyers will it have then...What if the final OS is a bit different from its pre-release... these are the few questions which are better the answers.
I think you're interpreting this the wrong way. This isn't to badger the devs for support for Windows 7. This is a general inquiry to find out what programs work, what don't, and whether or not there will be updates to support Win7. I know that Stardock will release updates to support the OS. But there are folks like myself who give Win7 a try. And one thing that will come up are questions relating to Win7. But unlike the Vista days, where you find little to no support for software and hardware at RC stage, companies are testing the new OS out and making changes as necessary.
I'm not too surprised that ObjectDock has no problem running in Win7. After all, it's a utility software, like Multiplicity. But you'd have to wonder about other software like LogonStudio, WindowBlinds, BootSkin, or IconPackager.
You will have full use of Windows 7 until March 2010.

Windowblinds doesn't work well and the latest version will actually tell you and then fail to load. Icon packager does not work well enough to be used. CursorFX works fine. Do not even try Bootskin as it will render the computer unbootable because of the way it changes the actually boot files to insert the graphic.
Multiplicity works great for me between Vista and Win7! I've had not problems at all.

I think you should have some patience to wait and see what has to come. The softwares you mentioned are supported for XP and Vista & they will be for Win 7 too.
