Craig..I know what you mean but the entire premise is for the skin to be uber simple, super translucent and ultra quality.

Ive made my share of very complex skins, done the Aero clones, space skins, tech skins, you name it..

Theres a method to my madness... promise

Snowman....I disagree with your comment. The start button is the only part of the skin that looks "windowy" at this point (and that's subject to change). The min-max-close buttons aren't windows-y...maybe slightly like 'aerial' but far from identical as evidenced by the shape of the maximize button....v said it's supposed to be simple and fast.

Simple and fast is fine by me. There'll probably be a light colored font and a dark one depending on the color of the desktop...

@NT - I really wish you'd update 'Badlands' for Vista...it was one of my fave XP skins.

I'll add... I do frequent all the skin sites... I think it's important if you are going to sell your 'wares' that you give folks what they want.. and from what I see... translucency, web 2.0'ish gui and minimal, sleek lines... is what the majority wants.. and are using.

I'll also add.. of all the similar type themes I've downloaded, most are low quality, somewhat buggy and generally not well executed.

Ergo... why not make my own? With it's own twist and personality.

I think, from a business perpesctive... it would be foolish to ignore the mob.

Plus... Personally I'm loving the crap out of it

Minimalistic seems to be an impossibility for me to create!I tried it with Covert Ops but just can,t flatten it all out!You and about three other skinners besides myself are all I use on a regular basis.BTW...I still use "sexy" alot because of its simplicity and appeal!It will be nice to have a"Naked" skin of the quality you achieve!

Hey, Mr. Awesome Skinner Man, I've accomplished something similar using the transparency customizations in WB, but your skin is going to be soooooo much better, I expect.  Looking forward to it!

Here is my hacked together version, using 007Tinar's INVI skins.  I was shooting for Vellum & Glass. 

I like the idea, John. I'd echo Harley's comments. The only two Windowblinds that I ever use are your Sexy and Vienna skins and I alternate between the two making subtle changes to the overall desktop setup via matching gadgets, wallpapers, DX objects and media players. Why? Quite simply because your skins are 'easy on the eye', professionally made and there are many things you can put with them to match and make a great all round scheme. I think this new concept of yours will have the same attributes and have popular appeal. And my guess is Messiah, Bilbo and the rest of the crew will make some superb matching skins to make it even more appealing to those of us who like suites of skins. Good luck with the venture and I am sure it will be a success

Easily the best blind i have seen from you. And that's not to stroke your ego. I really mean that. I love the rounded corners on the buttons and on the taskbar. I guarantee i love this more than anyone else. Anyone i say!    Utterly fantastic John.
