My Dock | What Do You Think?
Suggestions/Comments About My Dock
Sunday, April 19, 2009 by YungBoss | Discussion: Docks
Hey, I just got into the whole dock thing a couple days ago and now I know all about them.
I just finished my "masterpiece". I originally started with RocketDock, but then I went to ObjectDock Plus for the tray support.
So anyway, heres some shots of my dock and please dont hesitate to leave comments/suggestions.
(Maybe some new docklets that are neat)

If you want my objectdock background, its called graphite.
(It's gorgeous)... and you can snag it here:
(This isnt mine, I just snagged it from someone else (sorrry.) )

What do you mean exactly saying "submit it here"?
Just wondering.. (not being rude)
Thanks.

Mean that if the objectdock background is your..you can submit it in the wincustomize gallery too

That is the preferred method of making your dock available to the community.
On the front page of Wincustomize just click on the Submit to gallery link.

Really? Huh. That's something there.
Is that "Your" dock background, meaning you created it or is it a background you used and are showing us how you set it up? I ask because the post says your dock and your masterpiece, but the link to "grab" the dock shows that it was uploaded to dA in 2008 which is more than a couple days ago. Clarify please.

In order to upload Wincustomize policy requires any work uploaded be completely original OR contain permission from the original artist for you to use his artwork, upload and distribute it publicly. The permission must be in the form of an email, copy of a PM, IRC log or screen shot from an IM. Please include the permission in a zip file with your submission.
Before you (or anyone) submits to the galleries, please review the upload guidelines posted here https://www.wincustomize.com/guidelines.aspx
We look forward to seeing some of your work

Oh yeah...and when you create one, I hope it's a tad better than that one.

I'm sorry, I snagged the background from someone else by just googling it.
I'll clarify this.
Thanks For the heads up.

Start with these four from the Wiki, they concern the graphics and code side of the house.

Oh, and you asked about cool docklets. Try this one if you haven't already:

And this thread should help answer some questions you may have on setting it up:

I would definitely look at these tutorials... they helped get me started. All you need then is some graphic/image editing software. If you don't already have Photoshop or Paintshop pro, there is some pretty good free software out there, like The Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ or Paint.net http://www.paint.net/
