We did do some updates to the site today to fix uploading issues.  Should be working OK now.

Can someone tell me what's going on with this website? Ratings don't work featured skin & screenshot of day never change. I haven't been here to much lately but when I do, it's really sad how things are working..

I dunno whats going on .. I have no problems at any other site. I am in impluse now to post this as it wont let me in the site to get to the forums. Which is another strange thing.

The sight never does work right for me. It takes about 1 minutes for the galleries to come on with the pictures. Sometimes they never come on.

I'm losing interest in the sight.

same thing today .. its been days now. I bought the object desktop core thursday and while theres others sites out there with stuff, I really liked what I had seen here sometime back which is what got me intersted in buying the pack.... im disappointed in things.

the site seems to be in for some pretty major changes.....some days things are not working and you can assume are being worked on...they're usually back working next day or so.....I would far rather changes be impletemented gradually like this....than taking the site down for a period and doing it all in one....so....just need to have a little patience and let them do their thing.....Rome wasn't built in a day.....

Good response, Syd. I wholeheartedly agree. Regardless of the occasional issues, WC is a great place to be.

I for one am willing to put up with the occasional inconveniences because it is pretty obvious that they are due to site maintenance, which ulitmately make this site even better.

normally i would agree with you guys. HOWEVER after days now with nothing.. zilch .. notta ..

 its like going to buy a burger fries and a drink. Yea you get your main stuff however you have the impression when you get it that you’re going to be able to get ketchup, straws, napkins etc.  Yes I could get my items elsewhere but I saw something’s I wanted here. Which is what prompted me to buy the package? I haven’t been able to find any of them elsewhere,

I hear a lot of they are working on the site here and there .. but come on this isn’t some tiny company. To me its totally shut down as I cant do anything. I could have used a uxtheme and had lots of themes. However I choose to buy a package that had a place to get things I wanted and it served what I wanted. So far I’m disappointed I mean even my bootskin vista in the package is even telling me my code isn’t valid from impulse. I’m spending more time getting something to work then enjoying its use. That’s what my disappointment is.

Try a DNS flush.

Catperson,

Please try what Island Dog is suggesting.  We moved our servers a while back and for some reason your computer is still trying to get to WinCustomize at the old location.  If that does not work, you didn't add any entries to your hosts file have you?

In case anyone needs to know how to flush your DNS:

Open a Command Prompt (If you are in Vista and have UAC on, make sure to right click on it and run as an admin)
after the prompt, type: ipconfig /flushdns

You should then get a message that it was successfully flushed.

Close your browsers, then try to connect to the site again.  You should then be updated with the correct DNS (this may take a bit longer to connect the first time, but the DNS will resolve much faster each time you connect after that). 

The hosts file is located here: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

Please check and see what is in the hosts file.  If you notice anything odd relating to WinCustomize or any Stardock site, post your host file here (or private message dean and I) and we'll take a look.
