I am having a similar problem. I am having to search everywhere to find where the download went. It never goes to the correct folder/program. Any help will be appreciated.

@ susie56: when you download a .dream file it is best to put it into the DeskScapes folder manually.

Download a .dream file and select "save" (To desktop will work fine.)

Open DeskScapes and select "Add/Remove Animated Desktops"

Drag and drop your saved  .dream file into the folder. Done.

Then just choose your dream by either the DS control panel or Right-clicking your desktop and select "Personalize/Desktop Background/DeskScapes Animated Wallpapers.

Double clicking the dream file instead often sends it off into the ozone somewhere.

.dreams do not work in thew same way .wba or .ip files do where they are "installed" to the default locations.  Double clicking on a dream to apply will apply it from where it is on the disk.

To try and resolve this issue, try verifying the application through Impulse.  To verify the application through Impulse:

-Launch Impulse.  Right click on the entry for the application and choose "Verify application"
-Impulse will check the integrity of the installed application.  You should be given feedback as to the state of the installed application.
-If errors are found, an update should be made available in Impulse.  You'll need to select another application and then reselect the trouble application to run the update.
(NOTE: This is a UI bug in Impulse, that should be fixed in a future update)
-Once the update completes, reboot your PC.

I will save it instead of the other option. I sometimes don't have an option. I don't know what is up with at. Wish me luck!

Another way to save the .dream(or anything from the gallery) is: In the gallery, instead of clicking on the red download button, right click on it and select" save target as" This should  give you an option to select where you would like the download to be saved. Happy Downloading!
