2) Is there anyway to get IconX to work for Vista?

IconX development has been discontinued. It's no longer available to new subscribers of Object Desktop (but people who bought a subscription when it was available will still get access to it).
Installation is blocked on Vista when using Impulse (don't know if it works with SDC). There is no way that I know of to make it work properly if you manage to install it.
