Copper Carbon Fibre WB

Just getting started..

I know the texture is not perfect. I'm working on that.
It's the XP start panel on my vista machine.
Thanks PDJ for allowing me to do this! I really like the way the DX looks, hopefully I can do it justice.

Thanks PDJ!
yep. I'm following the DX as closely as I can, that's how it is on that too, although I will smooth it a tiny bit. Its more obvious on the start menu, because it's alot taller than the parts in the DX. I'm going to add highlights on the mesh to match it.

Maybe it's just my eyes, but I don't think so.
Doc, are you bending your monitor again? ![]()
I am glad that Cyndie is trying to stay with the DX theme, which is as it should be.

The way the shadow falls in the upper 1/3 and the way the light/glow is in the bottom 1/3 makes the panel look like the top 1/3 is crved into the screen (concave into the screen) and the bottom third convex outwards (from the screen).
Maybe it's just my eyes, but I don't think so.
You did a fantastic job on the tiling/mesh.
