How do I register?
Vista Ultimate User
Friday, February 20, 2009 by BruceTheHumanPet | Discussion: DeskScapes
I have Windows Vista Ultimate, and I downloaded one of the Stardock deskscape that I use as my background. Now Impulse says that there's a Deskscapes update for me, but when I ask it to download the update, it says I have an invalid registration, and in fact there is no registration for it on the registration page. Do I need to buy the product to get the update?

If you're using the version of DeskScapes for Vista Ultimate users, you will not be able to upgrade through Impulse (unless you purchase DeskScapes). The DeskScapes version for Vista Ultimate simply adds support for the .dream file format to the Windows DreamScene Ultimate Extra that is available to Vista Ultimate users. This was more or less done as a courtesy to these users so they wouldn't have to purchase an application that duplicates something they already have. However, to get the more advanced features in the latest DeskScapes, you would need to purchase a license to update.
