Two that effected me the most ............Alien (the first one) girlfriend almost ripped my arm off.......and Saving Private Ryan.......left the theater totally drained

The Lord of the Rings trilogy. I read the books as a kid and always hoped they'd make a movie(s) of them. The other ones I always hoped were the Chronicles of Narnia. But they're not turning out as well.

I can't think of just one...I'm really grateful that I live in an age where films are so readily available. A few that come to mind as my personal all-time greats, that have shaped my life philosophy are:
1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
2. The Fountain.
3. What Dreams May Come.

Yeah, now that is a good movie... although he wasn't the main star, I like anything with Lance Henriksen in it.
Another movie I like is Best Little Whorehouse in Texas... it's a load of old bollocks but still a feel good movie that has some great stars... I like the perfomances of both Jim Nabors and Charles Durning, not to mention Dolly Parton and Burt Reynolds.
Oh, and I almost forgot.... This Is Spinal Tap... cos they go to 11.

I GOT that movie... and yeah, Karen is right, Michael McKean (Lenny) was in Laverne & Shirley, also Young Doctors in Love, funny in parts but not a must see movie I'd be glad of seeing before I departed this Earth.

Yeah I know who he is, but Laverne and Shirley first appeared in Happy Days, and Lenny has also appeared in Happy Days.

Schindler's List and a 13 y/o Dark Knight named Christain Bale in Empire Of The Son.
Two epics guaranteeing not a dry eye for whom ever sees it! Emotionally draining though.
Damn, throw Color Purple in there too. I still can't believe Out Of Africa beat that movie for Best Picture!
