Logon Studio Problem
Friday, January 16, 2009 by sideburns33 | Discussion: Stardock Support General
I have downloaded Logon Studio for XP. I have applied one of the provided themes/logons (One of the three that came with Logon Studio). I have deleted all three free themes/logons that were provided with the software. It still loads that logon even after I reset Logon Studio to the normal XP logon. Why would it still load even after I deleted the file?
Also, I want to use some of the logons through wincustomize. I download them, but the don't show up in the list of available logons. It will show that the name of the logon is applied, but it still loads one of the logons that came with Logon Studio. Why won't the download logon show in the list?
In short, I want Logon Studio XP to load downloaded logons from wincustomize. Please tell me what I need to do.

Look in C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\ and see if there are any folders there. They should have a bunch of images and other files.
We'll start there ![]()

you better read this, cause i just figured it out and made this account to answer the problem:
-after you've "Loaded" the file into logonStudio, open up its folder your local hard drive (usually called C) under WinCustomize, i think
-if you see a folder containing the Logon file,
-open up Logon studio and load the file that you just looked at, not the place you saved it in My Documents or elsewhere
the problem is logonStudio makes a folder to hold the file in, but it cant open the folder to look at the file...i could be wrong, but hope this works

Reinstall LogonStudio to get the included themes back, do not delete any while they are set to be used. Reboot once then try to reset to default xp, reboot to see if it reverted. This will let you know LogonStudio is now working correctly, then try downloading and using themes from WC. If still having issue with themes not showing to be used post back and we can help you with that.

Thank you for the responses. I haven't checked this thread for awhile because I never thought I would get a response.
I have since bought a new laptop (I needed to upgrade) that uses Windows Vista, and I purchased Object Desktop. So, hopefully if someone else that is using Logon Studio XP and is having problems they will see this thread.

You know the same thing happened to me. I posted the problem just like you did, and did'nt get much support at all. I've deleted LogonStudio and haven't use it since
