I have just got off the phone to my daughter in Tasmania and its 3.37 am down there, she has just gone into labor and is waiting for the safe arrival of their first son.

He's really a beautiful baby, but I had to bust the Cap'n and Shaunna. Not to mention there may be a curried cabbage shortage in the near future. Does Gerber's sell the strained curried cabbage in OZ?

Congratulation to you and your family. Hope mother and baby are doing well.
There are many things that you will find that are Grandparents duties (don't know if this is your first or not). The only one important task you have infront of you is a simple one, in theroy at least, never allow any harm to come to the child. No explaining required or needed I'm sure.

Actually, the major duty of the Grandparent is to spoil the heck out of the child, feed it lots of sugar and caffeine and send it back home with the parents to deal with the resultant havoc.
Q-Why do Grandparents and Grandchilren get along so well?
A-They have a common enemy.

I was across the road, first time leaving the house in a couple of years, and I MISSED THE CALL I got back about 2 minutes after starkers called, and sent him a PM, damn, am looking forward to it, and your Grandson is gorgeous

thanks DavBax, they sure are, and I am looking forward to feb 4th to spen some time with him
