Can I create a Shortcut to a web page that doesn't open in my default browser?

Hi Everyone,
Was wondering if there was a way to force a shortcut to open in Internet Explorer if Firefox is my default browser. For some reason MSN games doesn't work well in Firefox and I wanted to add a shortcut to my dock to open that page in IE.
Thanks in advance for any help!!

Zu, I'm assuming that he already has a link to firefox in OD. When another Internet shortcut is made it will also be a Firefox link. If he puts in what the shortcut I said it will change to Internet Explorer. He he just adds the www.google.com link it will open in the firefox browser and he wants to have a link to 2 different browsers. What I wrote will work fine.

I didn't see your post while I was making mine.
My method allows for any number of links to be added to any number of browsers (IE, Opera, FF, safari).
Both methods work. It's a question of user preference.

Actually instead of putting in the link I had above just add "iexplore" (without the quotes) in stead of the full link
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

Man I didn't even type the shortcut correctly in my last post.

First drag and drop a short cut to the browser you wish to use, on to the dock .To Set it to open a specific page, open the Shortcuts properties window, in the arguments section paste the Url, hit apply then close. Now what ever browser you have selectd for that shortcut will open the specific page you set.

If firefox is your defalt browser, you could install the IE Tab extension to open the site in IE as a tab in Firefox, Add the URL to the site filter in IE Tab options and then the page will always open in IE as a tab within Firefox. This alows you to have multiple tabs open, with pages open in both IE (where necessary) and firefox, with only one instance of Firefox running.

+1 for rjm2310 suggestion.
IE tab extension is great for those troubling web pages which won't load correctly in firefox. You can save the setting so that the offending web page always opens in the IE tab.

Absolutely. I use FF and IETab at home and work and I have had no problems. Any pages that absolutely must be run in IE, I set them to do so permanently.
No fuss, no worries.

HG_Eliminator, That worked PERFECTLY!
Also, I have IE tab already in Firefox but I was trying to make it a little more convienent to where I could get to MSN games in IE with one click.

Open OD. Click on Dockets and go down to Internet Shortcut and highlight it. Now click to add this Docket. Close the OD box properties box. On the Dock go to the shortcut you just made and right click on it, look for dock Entry Properties and click on it to open a box. Where it says Link it should say Internet. Hightlight it and than hit your backspace tab on the keyboard. Now add this C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe and than click the OK button to close. Now you can open IE with this shortcut. After you open IE and go to the page that you use IE for you can set it so every time you open IE it will open with this page. With IE open and on the page you want go up top to the Tools menu and click on it. Go down to Internet Options. Under the General tab you will have options. Just click the Use Current button and that's it. When you open IE it will default to that page.
