Updated Deskscapes not working
Monday, January 5, 2009 by Mikel1981 | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers
I have the fullest version of Object Desktop and I updated the Deskscapes program and it no longer works. I select the dream to use and nothing happens the wallpaper just remains in place. I tried going back to an older version but I can not seem to locate one. I am using Vista Home Premium. Please help!!

I have uninstalled and reinstalled it 3 times. I have never received any error messages. It worked fine from the time I bought it about 6 months ago until I opened up impulse and updated it. I have even tried updated the vista codec thinking that could work but still no change. What codec are people using for the MPEG-2 files? I am still completely lost as to why I am having this problem.

i have an nvidia 8600gt fatality edition, nvidia purevideo, nvidia physx, and nvidia media center extensions. not sure if any of those help or conflict. they shouldn't considering none of them have changed or been altered since deskscapes stopped working

Did you reboot? Last time I updated I could not get it to work until I rebooted.

Have you tried simply uninstalling and reinstalling Deskscapes yet? I would suggest that first. Have you ever gotten any error messages of any kind or made any other changes to your computer?
