desktop goes black after screensaver comes up
Sunday, December 21, 2008 by nursemm05 | Discussion: DeskScapes
I just installed this program and have an animated background. I like it but after my screensaver comes on and I stop it to go back to my desktop, my desktop is black. Also the animation disappears after a few minutes. How can I fix this? thanks!

Make sure that the Desktop Windows Manager service is started.

Are you on Vista or XP?

In Vista, click on the Start button and then type in "services"
It will show up in the search panel.
Click on it and scroll down to it.
Right-click and choose Start.
(Make sure that it's set to Automatic in the properties)

or -
Control Panel - Administrative Tools - double-click on Services and locate 'Desktop Windows Manager'. If it doesn't say in the Status column that it is Started then right-click on 'Desktop Windows Manager' and select 'Start'.

Well, we know it works for most people without any issues otherwise it wouldn't be offered for sale if it didn't.
If you haven't done so already, please email [email protected] and start a trouble ticket. They will be able to assist you.

i had the same prob... it's because I was using a screensaver that used 3d acceleration... it was very odd... no problem with my video games... but hey...just switched to another screensaver, and never had the problem again... hope this helps... maybe it can help narrow down your problem...
