Weather, Clock and Media player gadgets are buggy
Thursday, December 11, 2008 by vtwin88cube | Discussion: MyColors
The weather gadget isn't working. It keeps saying "unable to determine version of StardockWeather.ocx" Interestingly enough though, when I click the "ok" button, the weather gadget momentarily shows then closes.
Also, the clock won't keep the correct time. Though the second hand ticks once or twice when you mouse over it.
Also, the media player boots up in the middle of the desktop. I have to drag it to the right side with the other gadgets.
Has anyone had similiar problems with this theme? Any known remedies?

Dave RI thanks for the reply.
No it didn't resolve my problem. And yes I'm on Vista x64.

Download this replacement stardockweather.ocx file:
http://sd.stardock.com/ken/stardockweather.ocx
You might want to search your harddrive for the file and rename it to something like stardockweather.old before bringing over the one from the link above.

Try this:
1. Go into MyColors and apply the default Windows theme. You don't want any widgets or gadgets running when you do the next step, so if any are still running (including any that aren't part of the Harley Davidson suite) close or exit them.
2. Clear the widget cache as described in Reply #1 here: https://forums.wincustomize.com/329374
3. Might help to Logoff or reboot here (or not)
4. Go back into MyColors and load Harley. All the widgets should come up back at their defaults (I think you'll have to re-enter weather location)
It's probably not really so much a Harley issue as a more general widget/gadget issue that you're just seeing in Harley. (My Harley stuff is working fine.)
