Logon Studio (for XP)
Thursday, December 4, 2008 by karmat | Discussion: OS Customization
I've just had a new drive and more RAM put in my laptop. With the help of Philly and Zubaz, I've re-installed all skinning programs that I had on it originally, but I'm left with one problem.
I was using Logon Studio (for xp), and it doesn't seem to work now. When I try to open the program I get this message...
Run-Time error '339'. Component 'COMDLG32.0CX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
My WC subscription and Object Desktop subscriptions are still current.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Zubaz, as you suggested, I typed in REGSVR32%Systemroot%\System32\comdlg32.ocx in the Run window and I got the following error message...
Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

Zubaz, thanks for the info, I finally figured out how to get comdlg32.ocx into my new system 32 folder (it was in my old one but not the new one).
Thanks again for your help, you are always there with the right advice!!!

Have you tried the following command from Start, Run dialog
REGSVR32 %Systemroot%\System32\comdlg32.ocx
After putting the comdlg32.ocx in the Windows\System32 folder
Restart Windows and then launch your application.
