Docking Script Issues

Autohide state not functioning properly.

Friday, November 21, 2008 by Lumic | Discussion: Help

If anyone could please download Fluorescence (Pre-BETA) from my personal gallery? Link

I need someone to find out the issue I'm having with the docking script.

When the top dock is set to 'Autohide' and you either mouse over the 1. autohide / dock button or 2. an icon, after a delay the dock will try to autohide, but seems to be bounced back, presumably by scripting.

Are the scripts within the icons / docking button conflicting with the docking script? If someone could help me with this problem I would really appreciate it.

Since I can't even spell bvscritp I got nothing but maybe an observation..

Take a look at S SDD-DX {Phoon's (S)elf Contained (S)cripted (D)esktopX² (D)evice}

His scripting is a little different for the hide

The mouse over effects an the start are cool... just a little slow

Sorry Bichur, I'm looking for a fix to my docking / autohide script, that autohides like the Windows Taskbar. Phoon's DesktopX Theme removes the object's visibility.

yeah, I know... not sure what I was thinking..

since I don't know scripting maybe i was thinking it might have to do with the way he did with the on call, but modified for autohide (or possible a button like his - but set in the taskbar with the script to autohide the dock on call - maybe that script away from the others negates conflict...) or maybe tequila.. I don't know

maybe peruse the gallery for themes that have a docking object

maybe... ahhhhh....... BUMP!

Im not sure about the script, have not had time to look at it, but if you are using the autohid feature of the dock, and then using some kind of script to show/hide (ie, moving the top position) the dock than yeah i could see an issue.  try disabiling all the scripts and see if the autohide works that way.

Thanks RomanDA! I found the source of the problem.

The docking script docks the base docking object with the sub "Object_OnMouseLeaveEx". The children have "Object_OnMouseLeave" / "Object_OnMouseEnter" subs. For some reason these interfere with the parent's script.

Time to change all the scripts of the children
