Members "pay for their usage" through adverts.
Please feel free to point out the wording in terms of service where it states that members who do not subscribe must "pay for their usage" in any way, shape or form.
Do you not understand the concept of ad supported websites? One of the benifits I pay for on this site is to not see them. If you don't pay , you see the ads. You don't like that idea, please disconnect your PC from the Internet and get a refund from your ISP, because ad supported sites are the norm .

*shrug* The ads on the page help pay for the operation of the site and offset the costs incurred by members of the community who do not/are not able to subscribe to support the site more directly.
There is nothing in the terms saying you have to pay. But there's nothing in the terms saying we won't make use of web adverts to generate revenue to run the site.

They might be the norm, but that doesn't mean I have to put up with obtrusive and nagging advertisements.

Edit: I do not find WinCustomize subscription of value (unlike the ObjectDesktop subscription which I purchased). I am more than content with the limitations of not subscribing, aside from the ads. They waste my bandwidth, are an eyesore, and are completely out of context. "Ad-supported" revenue is just that, supported; not the primary source of income. In any case, this whole discussion is moot since most ads generate revenue whether or not they are viewed.

According to the scriptures, he will be a well liked , elected official. Maybe I should not have gotten into this here. I'm not sure this is the place to get into one's religious beliefs.

Peter, please don't go there. It could end up worse than the political threads we just went through. Besides, I think the person mentioned in the quote you highlighted might just be on this thread already.![]()

anti-christ? the man has been a christian for over 20 years..... not to mention he was raised by christians. Do you even know the full meaning of being anti-christ? or know what it means to make that alligation on someone? Do you call yourself a christian, but would make that type of statement?
with that said....
What does his christianity or religion have to do with him running or being president? We are not voting on him being the pope here.
Even if he werent a christian would that really be a problem? are you really stating that only a christian can be president now?
This election is not on faith, its on how well someone can run this country, if you really based your vote on how religous the person was, then maybe you should re-think the contributing factors of a great country..... last time i checked our country was under a economic crisis, not a religous crisis

Mrs. L.: Good for you! Absolutely correct about the REAL issues (don't know much about yout scriptures). I guess politics are calming down...religion is next. Nothing like a non-contentious topic. LOL.

Why would the anti christ need an election? Wouldn't he just cast some more magic and *poof*?
According to the scriptures, he will be a well liked , elected official.
Even ignoring that, you can't say someone is the antichrist whenever they are charismatic and running for public office. There have been so many charismatic leaders in history that it simply isn't viable. Lincoln, Caesar, Atilla, Kennedy, Hitler, and Churchill are just a few that I can name off the top of my head. I doubt that Obama is the antichrist if Hitler didn't make the cut.
Furthermore, a quick read through the Gospels will show that Jesus was more liberal than most high-level Democrats (aside from abortion, which I'll give to the Republicans). It can therefore be safely assumed that the Antichrist, if there ever is one, will be a Republican.

I knew I shouldn't have gone there. ![]()
I didn't say he is, I said he might be. The antichrist will be well liked and in a high position. He will be well liked, until he shows his true nature, which won't happen until he gets into the place of power he needs to be in so the we mortals can no longer stop him.
This subject was a bad idea, and this is my last comment on it. ![]()
