Aqueous

Submerging into my first WindowBlind

Friday, October 31, 2008 by Mirsguy | Discussion: Sneak Previews

I am near complete on my first WB skin called "Aqueous."

Actually, this is my second, but my real first one is kind of in shambles. I used that one to learn SKS6. Aqueous is my first real attempt!

Need a tester?

Sure! Hey Jim- I'd love it if you wanted to put together some calendar, clock, and/or weather widgets!

Cool, send me any graphics you have...how about a full DX theme, or if you just want widgets, ok too.

Send graphics and/or blind to [email protected]

Okay, so after some deep examination of the skin, I decided that my best course of action was to rebuild... from scratch.

This time, I built it off of the SKS new skin template, rather than another skin.

So far, Vista is 97% done, and well whaddaya know? I accidentally discovered solutions to some of the xp bugs! Time allowing, I might try to skin xp after all!

The skin should be ready for resubmission early next week.

Same thing happened to my skin mrsguy - mine is currently pending - best solution i found as well was a total rebuild from new skin - its the only way to be sure.

Sorry to hear that, ct.

At the moment, Vista is completely redone. I will tackle an xp substyle next. I hope it works!

Good luck with the effort!

Hallo from Valpo.

Hallo from Merrillville!

Good luck with the effort!

Thanks, doc! I am very pleased with Vista; I made some minor tweaks since I was starting over. I found some minor inconsistencies that I fixed, as well as animating the start button.

Now let's hope I'm happy with the xp substyle I'll begin today...

It's up again! http://www.guichamps.com/skin/104

It is a Vista only skin at this point--I tried an xp substyle, and I was having major problems. I'll probably do an xp version in the near future.

I re-skinned a few minor things from the original version, and I also added an animated start button.
