EN symbol on logon

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong place, I can't find the right forum under category 
I don't know if anybody else has had this problem with logons but next to the go button by password form there is a small symbol saying EN in it. I think this may stand for English language for that user but I may be wrong. My question is, how, if possible, do I get rid of this, it is spoiling my logon screen.

Are you using the XP or the Vista version of Login?
