Known Site Issues
Monday, October 13, 2008 by Zoomba | Discussion: GUI Championships News
Welcome to the brand new GUI Champs Website!
Today we launched the site for the 2008 GUI Champs so artists could begin uploading their entries for this year's mega event. As you click through, you may notice a few glitches present. The site at the moment still have a few last-minute features to implement. So for the time being, the following features are not working:
- Search Bar
- "My Skins" page
- Downloading skins
- Viewing Skin Preview images
These are all being polished and tested and should be up in the next few days.
But for now, get to submitting those skins! Uploading & moderation tools work just fine ![]()

This is a prototype for the next WinCustomize
We're testing out new ideas here to see if they'll work over there.

Also note that when I click on some of the team names it takes me to an edit page. This happens regardless of whether I am logged in or not. Plus I am not a member of these teams, I just wanted to see some team details.

The "Submit Entry" and "Library" links at the very top of the forum pages are broken.

Just so you know, the team statistics (number of members) are incorrect, they are not counting the person who created the team as a member of the team.

Noted, will fix.
Not actually a bug, just an odd design point. May or may not be addressed.

I was just now able to download Xiandi's Denim. IE7 would not let me, but FF3 works fine. ![]()

Is there any way for team members to edit their country settings? Some signed up without listing their country and I see no way of editing it afterwards. Should that not be a mandatory item when joining a team so that the country statistics concerning medals are accurate later on? ![]()

It's mandatory when submitting a skin for the first time.

Has the GUIC site forsaken IE6 users like forums on WC? lots of borked stuff using IE6.
Have had to use FF to browse site.

Have had to use FF to browse site.
The GUIC site is built for FF3/IE7. IE6 will not work.

It would be nice if the file size was listed in megabytes instead of bytes.

Thx for clarifying. ![]()
BTW... the site does look very good in the newer browsers. I particularly like the simple square white comment boxes in the submission area,

Also, how come the user names aren't links in the skin comments?
Reply #19 Monday, October 20, 2008 7:57 PM
Because there are no profile pages on this site.
Please limit discussion on this thread to parts of the site that do not function, not features that you feel are missing. It'll make it easier on me to round up problems to be fixed.
