Best program for skin?

Hi to all,
My question is simple, what program you use for make the skin for windowblinds? I'm a beginner in this type of stuff and i would create some skin ![]()
I have a good experience with 3d software like 3dsm, poser, cinema 4d....i know that many people use photoshop for make the skin but i have nothing experience with this, i would know what programs you use? or an alternative to photoshop?

My question is for image editing, I know that each people have different tastes for the programs but there is a software between photoshop, fireworks etc that is more appropriate and is enough easy to use for make the skins?

I use photoshop for making my images, and then use Paint Shop Pro for the afterwork on them...like sizing, color, etc. Paint Shop Pro is far cheaper than photoshop. I think most of us skinners use more than one graphics program for our blinds, etc.

First you need Skin Studio LINK (a part of object desktop)Free version LINK (this one is not full featured)
A image editing program such as Fireworks,photoshop,gimp etc...
There are a lot of friendly people around here so don,t be afraid to ask for help!
