Skinstudio crashing?

I've got SKS 5 and 6 both on my computer. I usually use 5 to do the main skin and 6 to do the Vista parts. Well, all of the sudden, 5 has started losing skin parts. The default image file comes up, and now 6 is doing the same thing. It started the other day when I pulled up 5 and image attributes were missing. I'd have to go in and add them for most of the images. It's only part of the skin, the rest of it seems okay. Could this be a bug with SKS 6.3? I just upgraded to that about a week ago.

It's like the file associations are getting lost. The image files are still there in the folder, but they don't show up in Skinstudio. The default files show up...or nothing at all. Sometimes there aren't even any sections for the normal parts of the skins, and I have to add them manually.
I lost the whole start menu tonight, plus the taskbar parts. The window sections were all there just fine though.. This is really upsetting because I'm trying to get a skin ready for the GUI Championships and if this keeps happening, it's not going to work. 
And no, I haven't started a new skin. I've been trying to recover all of the one I was working on.

What parts are you losing? Have you tried starting a new skin as a tester instead of using an old save?
