objectdock not grabbing icons correctly
Wednesday, October 8, 2008 by dunebeetle | Discussion: Docks
Objectdock doesn't seem to grab web pages icons. Even when I drag a shortcut that has a icon automatically applied, the icon will just be the default internet icon. It also doesn't grab icons for certain programs that I try to put in there. Does objectdock plus do this any better?

The little icons are called favicons. You can read about them here.
The quality usually sucks so I'd avoid them. You can usually find a better icon in the gallery or you can request one in the Rare Icon thread

Those little webpage icons are coded to display in the address bar via html. It won't work on your dock like that. As for the other problem, if the program has an icon associated with it, it should display that icon. What program, for instance, is giving you problems?
