Problem with Dream display

I had been using a static background for a couple of week on my Laptop due to some work I had to do with it,
and yesterday wanted to start using DeskScapes again (paid version).
But when I tried to load up one of my Dreams, I found that the video has a blue tint to it.
So I tried another one, this time a fireplace Dream, the same thing, blue fire.
I have now spent the ENTIRE day trying to find out what the problem is, and trying to fix it,
and am nowhere...!!!
And have also found out, that trying to play a video in Media Player, gives the SAME blue tint that the Dreams do.
I have since tried I think 3 different MPEG Decoder Codecs, tried playing around with the nVidia settings, and nothing.
The strange thing is, ALL colors are normal, with the exception of the video (WMP & Dreams),
so I think this HAS to be something to do with that, but I am stumped for an answer.
Especially since it WAS working fine up until now (nothing video related installed).
So, since I cannot fix this myself, I'm asking for help from the Community here.
I am including a screenshot, so you can see that the colors are normal except for the Dream/Video.

System:
Sony Vaio, Windows Vista Home Premium (German language version),
Core™2 Duo T7100 1.80GHz, nVidia GeForce 8400M GT 128 MB,
2 GB RAM, Windows Performance Index = 4.7
whereby the Desktop Graphic is 5.7 & 3D Graphic is 5.3.
I really would appreciate any help with this, it'd be a shame not to be able to use Deskcapes because of this problem.

I don't have Media Center installed apparently, and got an avalanche of errors when I clicked on the only menu point I had under Media Center,
which was "nVidia settings".
But your answer made me have another think, and I went back looking for a default settings option,
and apparently 
,
it seems I missed that because it's not there as a button or mainscreen option,
it's simply a small text link in the extreme upper right of the screen.
Clicked that, and lookee there, everything is back to normal. 
Sometimes the simplest solution is the best one,
would have saved myself a wasted Saturday afternoon if I'd just tried that first! 
Well, now I can go take part in the October Screenshot Thread...!

Glad you got it fixed since the Fireplace dream looks really strange in blue.

Try going to media center video advanced settings and toggling 'use high quality mode'. This changes the render type used for video playback.
My other thought was your Nvidia video settings maybe with colour shift or something - but you said you tried there.
