Avatar problems
Friday, September 19, 2008 by Nimbin | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
i have tried to update my avatar through impulse driven, but keep getting an object error message, even though my new avatar is 100 x 100 and a .png. i tried with a .jpg and got the same message. meanwhile doing this, my old avatar has been removed and when i try and use the update images feature at wincustomize i get the message, your upload completed but the image was corrupted, please try again. thinking this was a problem with the avatar i made, i tried to reupload my old one only to get the same error message. so now i have no avatar and would like to know if this is a known site issue and when it is likely to be resolved.
thanks in advance ![]()

Did you try to update from this link? https://forums.wincustomize.com/account/images This link was the recommended by site admin for updating images. If this doesn't work now then I'm not sure what will.

treid that link mate, still no go, got the same object error. this is really frustrating me now.
when i tried to do it through impulse i got a message saying i couldn't because i didn't have flash player 9.0.28 or higher installed, even though i have the latest one. hope the admins can suggest something soon

Good to know. I got mine on using FF3 also but, I hadn't tried Impulse or IE7 so I didn't know those didn't work. Thanks for sharing. ![]()

footnote: when i tried to reupload at wincustomize, i had already reduced the image to 50 x 50 as well as making sure it was within the size limits. so thats not the problem
