personal images - UNresolved
Tuesday, September 16, 2008 by gmc2 | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
Sorry Andrew, I strongly disagree that this issue is resolved.
I don't intend to get into a "flash" rant however I took your advice and attempted to update my personal images from the forum pages and I was unable to do so as "flash" is required, hmmm. I am aware that I could use my fluff browser or alter my security settings (even for just a session) to upload my pictures but why do I need to work around the problem as opposed to the problem being corrected.
So, it wasn't broke until it was fixed so, could we please break it again so we can use it?
maybe a status report on this issue, what specifically are the problems, what is being done to correct them and how soon will we be able to upload images without jepordizing/altering/changing the user's preferred security settings.

I'm sorry that you're upset with the update wimpy. But as a community this has been discussed a few times now. We wont be reverting back to the old image upload, im afraid.

Yes, I understand what you are saying. I do appreciate the forums as a place to vent, recognizing that it won’t affect the price of tea in China one bit. These changes have also provided me with an opportunity to step back and take a look.
IE is my main browser as it’s security features best match my preferences. I don’t need add-ons to make it work, it just does. Upgrading to IE7 has had no impact on these preferences. So, a good thing.
I have also had the opportunity to re-evaluate my reasons for being here. I find skinning to be a creative hobby outlet. I enjoy sharing, and I use the forums to ask questions and learn about imaging and skinning.
I use SS6, if there a good changes to be made there, thanks in advance.
What is needed to upload windowblinds. Do I need flash enabled to upload these blinds? I just attempted to upload one and I’m not really sure that it made it as I received no confirmation screen.
Currently the forums are operating just fine. I’m using IE7 with flash disabled and with first and third party cookies blocked. WC is an exception allowed. At some point will this be a problem?
I know that I’ve been sniveling a lot lately regarding these changes, I apologize.

I regard the comments you've been making as constructive. So no worries. People have different preferences, and you've been very open and honest about your personal preferences and not insulting or irritating in the slightest.
At present the upload pages do not require flash, but as far as I'm aware they do require that you allow cookies to be created. I know that we're having some trouble with the upload today, but it's being worked on.

I used my fluff browser to update my pictures and they are updated. I guess the majority of problems that I am encountering can be corrected by just not participating in those activities that are limited by my choices of content control (flash and third party cookies)
I guess as long as I am able to create and upload blinds I should be content. Oh, did I mention that I'm unsure if the last blind that I uploaded was actually received?
