DesktopX f**ked up my computer
Saturday, September 6, 2008 by promaster12 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk
I first installed DesktopX because I wanted to try it now I don't like it very much so I uninstalled. And after restarting my computer, I get full screen when I open any window
That's it. When I maximise the window it goes to full screen (even covering the dock). I want a solution to this please, because I'm not happy with the programs here.

Right click on your taskbar, choose Properties, then check "keep taskbar on top of other windows"

Try right click your taskbar, select "Properties",
A window will open,
In the "Taskbar" tab you have "Taskbar appearence"
Make sure you have the item "[v] Keep the taskbar on top of other windows"
Also make sure you DON'T have checked the item "[ ] Auto-hide the taskbar"
Click the "Apply" button and close the window.
I hope it helps.

By the way that's the way XP came by default for me and has nothing to do with DesktopX. I've had a number of different apps ignore my previous settings and reset to that. The only reason I can think that it uninstalled like that is most likely because of the last theme you used.
Most moderate computer users would've have figured this out without going off on a tirade. ![]()
