Unable to skin the CD/DVD drive
Saturday, August 30, 2008 by Smunky53 | Discussion: IconPackager
When I try to change the icon manually by going to properties, it asks me to reboot the computer when I click apply. I do so however, the icons remain unchanged when I relogon. If I click no to rebooting the changes are made to the drive icon but as soon as I shutdown or reboot normally, the drive icons go back to their default mode.
Tried doing it with Individual Drive Mode on and off neither seems to work.

SP2 yesterday - noticed mine weren't changed when I read this last night
also noticed today if I open IconPackager > (using Slicer Vista) > it's there looking in "Preivew" & in "Icons & Cursor", but when I looked in "Individual Drive Mode" it's blank then stayed blank coming out of drive mode
'about' shows version 4.00.165 (x86)
same with "LK" - it shows until I click the individual drive mode - there it's blank & when i back out of the idm, it's now still blank

Just an update. I got a reply from Stardock Support regarding the CD and DVD icons not being skinned. Support has this documented as a known issue and is on the Dev's list.

I am on XP SP3, IP 4.09[b].003(x86)
My A drive, 3.5 floppy, E,F and G drives, usb thumb drives, are always skinned by IP package. (with a very few packs I use there is no thumb drive icon in pack), D drive, CD, now seems to be not changing, had never noticed before as I remember it changing properly.
