IconPackager won't apply recoloring

When I use the Recolor feature in IconPackager, it changes the colors in the preview but does not apply the changes to the actual desktop icons. I click apply changes and it looks like it's making the change, then the icons reappear with the same color as before. Am I missing something?

Is this happening with different packages you try to recolour is just one? specifically which parts of the colouring controls are you changing?
Can you possibly post a screen shot showing the problem?
