Open Office goes Portable

Check it out

Open Office has a Portable version in BETA. Install it to your flash drive and take it with you.
Time to think about Open Office as a serious competitor to MS Office.

OpenOffice.org Portable is a fully-functional package of OpenOffice.org optimized for use on a USB key drive. It has some specially selected optimizations to make it perform faster and extend the life of your USB key as well as a specialized launcher that will allow you to launch it from the directory of your choice. It will also work from a CDRW drive (in packet mode), ZIP drives, external hard drives, some MP3 players, flash RAM cards and more.

Been using the portable version they have for the SanDisk cruzer U3 for a bit over a year now since some of the work pcs have MS Office and some don't. It works as a great simple to use replacement.
