Changing Control Panel Icons in Vista

If you're a Vista user, you probably found out that it's harder to customize certain elements of your UI such as icon types. (The "File Types" tab under "Folder Options" doesn't exist in Vista.) IconPackager doesn't allow individual control panel icons to be changed, since there are so many different Control Panel configurations which vary by system. However, i've come across a site which you can change most (but not all) of the Control Panel Icons.
Click Here to visit the Vista x64 forum site. From there, users will have to run the Registry editor (regedit.exe) and find the correct keys to change their icons from the default ones to their desired ones. After running regedit.exe, navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\. Note that you'll need to type in the exact path of the icon file, including the name and the (.ico) extension. (i.e. "C:\Windows\system32\icon_name.ico" So if you move the icon to another folder or delete it, it won't display. However, some of the icons will require the user to take ownership of the registry key.
