OD Ultimate

tabbed docks

Saturday, July 26, 2008 by snaarl | Discussion: Object Desktop

I have been downloading tabbed docks but they have no tabs when I use
any . So, I wonder if tabbed docks even work in OD Ultimate; or am I doing something wrong; (very possible).

I need help! Thanks...

ObjectDock Plus?  Or ObjectDesktop Ultimate?  Going to assume ObjectDock Plus.  It isn't included in Object Desktop.

If you have ObjectDock installed, you'll have to uninstall that before you install ObjectDock Plus.

Do you have the free version of Object Dock, if so, no tabbed dock support, you need to buy Object Dock Plus for tabbed docks and much more.

I checked my Object Dock, I do have Object Dock Plus.

I bought it anyway and installed the new one thinking the one I had, had gotten corrupted someway.

It does look a little different from the one I was using; the OBJECT PLUS banner is now on top of the config window, instead of running down the side, etc.

Still no tabs when I load a tabbed dock. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. HELP!

Did you uninstall the free version first? That may be the problem.Uninstall OD/OD+,run a cleanup program like CCleaner, reboot and reinstall OD+

Do you have a tabbed dock set-up, sounds like you are trying to use a tabbed dock on a standard zoomer dock. Right click on dock, Dock Settings, bottom left of config window, My Docks, create a new tabbed dock.

A good place for Object Dock tutorials WWW Link

Cavan1, that was the problem! Everything works fine now! I knew I was doing something wrong/stupid.

As long as I've been using computers (1980's) I should have remembered the first law: RTFM. Or in this case, tutorial.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks to everyone else, too.
