How do I get permissions?

Saturday, July 19, 2008 by Lumic | Discussion: Permissions

I am trying to post a DX theme but I am finding it hard to get permissions.

Does WinCustomize have an eMail address feature on the user page that I missed? If not how do I get contact different artists to get their permission?

Yes, there is a section on the WinCustomize personal pages for artists/skinners to put their email. If they have a message board on that site you could try to reach them that way as well.

Or post in the skin comments of the theme/skin you are wishing to borrow from....

Thanks guys! Only problem is, apart from finding eMails artists may not check their message board and skin comments very often, especially since I'm featuring old skins. And apart from you Kurtin and possibly me just about no-one puts their eMail on their site...

On the user's site, there is usually a link that reads "Email User" it will be near the user's picture. Click it and email the user. Occaisionally a user will wish not to be emailed. Some also list their emails, like I do.

Got your request on my wallpaper/comments section. My email is on my personal site.

If you go to a persons personal site, click on 'Email User' and you will be able to email them if they have it enabled. It's the alternative to actually posting your email on the site.

As for your request..email me which icons you want to use and we'll go from there.

Best idea is the Email User I guess. But...it doesn't even work for me. It just doesn't appear. Maybe if someone can help me here? Is it: Browser problems (Firefox 3.0.1) User glitch (...) Not a WinCustomize Subscriber (I'm 13, Parents Won't Allow) eMail not submitted (Tell me how?)

You know, SinTactics. I have the same exact issue at the moment. I'm not able to see the "email user" option even on users who I know have it enabled. I've tried it on Firefox 3.0.1 and IE7. If anyone has any solutions to that mess, I would be interested in finding out the answer too

Who do you wish to contact? Find that persons name on a reply somewhere in the forums, and click thier name for a drop down allowing you to email or private message the person. If that won't work, I will get the two of you in touch, if you tell me who you want.
