VLC player displays oranage screen when using the doc

my vlc media displays and oranage screen when using object dock plus
if i disable the doc vlc works fine
i am running both on
dell dimension 4700
4 gigs ram
xp home sp3
the system is also running stardock free alienware theme
the issue only started when I updated to plus version the free version didnt affect vlc
If anyone knows where the issue maybe where one interfering with the other.
Vlc is the only sw affect media player 11 and media player classic remain unaffected

Ok thank I tried that but the problem still persists.
I am also running the both on my laptop and it has no problems. seem to only affect my desktop
the only main differnce being that the laptop ruining xp home media centre eddtion with sp2
I might try posting on the vlc boards to see if they can help

Can you send this information into [email protected]? We would very much like to test this out for ourselves.
Press and hold the Windows key, press R and type the following into the Run dialog:
dxdiag
Once everything loads, please click the "Save all information" button and attach the output fileto your email.

Isn't this the same issue that has always existed because of MS's faulty alpha layers?

I always have OD+ running and I use VLC quite frequently and have never had an issue.

yes I will do that sorry for the delay being away for the desktop for a few months.

Sometimes it seems to help the general alpha layer issue if you keep the docks off of the left edge and off of the top edge. It helps me to keep them on the bottom or the right. Some other people have had luck with that, some haven't, worth a shot.

Always on top issue isnt exactly of dock its an issue in XP which happens with everything which tries to be on top at the same time.
