WFX & Background Transparency
Monday, June 23, 2008 by Daiwa | Discussion: WindowFX
While I'm here, three other observations:
1) The setting for the timer only affects leaving a window, not mousing over a window. No matter what setting you choose, the trans window becomes immediately opaque as soon as you mouse over it (hence, in part, the problem mentioned above).
2) Although the description says "all" inactive windows will be made trans, that isn't the case in practice - maximized windows remain opaque when inactive.
3) The right, left & bottom borders remain opaque in inactive windows (a non-perpixel skin, BTW); the Titlebar and window get trans.
Fix up those little glitches and this feature alone would justify the cost of WFX. This is a great idea that could use a better implementation, if it's possible.

Emailing support so they can feed it to the right dev may get more results (if no update).
