Make ur explorer background images transparent.. and the rest will fall into place.
There are four active, active sorted, inactive, inactive sorted.
Lastly beware... they are tricky as far as how they appear w\ regards to their lightness.. compared to how their save from Photoshop...also be aware that Maximized windows do not fully support transparency.. sometimes it works.. sometimes it doesnt..matching up glass frames, commandbar, explorer glass and infopane is tricky too as some elements do not have inactive states.
Its far from a perfect science.... but once you 'get it'... can be pretty creative.
