What is your favorite media player, of these two? (Assuming, it's not Windows Media Player ^^)

Winamp for plugins, visualizations, existing library of skins.....
I think Xion wins the ease of skinning competition but really suffers from a lack of useful plugins.

Xion...I dont use plugins so I just need something to play music.

Yup ... a very versatile, no - nonsense ' little' player ..too ..
.. ain't that the truth ... theres plenty out there ...
My particular favourite is this winamp ... A bit traditional but It's fun to use ..
MEDIA TOWER
BUT IF YOU WANT OVER THE TOP COOLNESS - hehe - I use quite often
Cowon's Jet audio ... WWW Link
Totally in your face !! .. and again , fun to use ... I can even set it for me to listen to Queen in a stadium .... the Graphics used are mind blowing .. and there is a 20 band equalizer built in .. ( it has a nice mini-mode too .. This is whats'on mine at the moment

Xion is easier to skin. It wins for that for me.

Without a doubt,but for everyday use(streaming radio) DX players get the job done.I'm looking forward to the one being worked on.WWW LinkOr is it done and I missed it?

In terms of sound, Foobar is hands-down the best sounding media player of them all. yeah, you can't currently skin it (you used to be able to, but the newest betas don't skin well) so it's ugly, but I don't care. It sounds better than Xion or Winamp, in my opinion.

I still like WMP and with the DFX plug in it's a great sound machine. Winamp and Xion run it close, though. Mike mentioned Cowon's Jet Audio and I must say I was quite impressed too.

i can't imagine using anything other than itunes at this point, but i never tried xion.

hehe .. The FX rack and the Graphic Equalizer did it for me ... Great for when I am in the mood for listening to a couple of Symphonies ...
I always found that , with the exception of a few ..some Winamp skins that were just a little to fiddly ~ getting old I suppose ...
..maybe people don't want to change ..

And it's great and easy for making anything from the most simplistic to overly extravagant skins.

windows media player for me, but between winamp and xion, i much prefer winamp
