Is This Possible? Desktop Noticeboard

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 by Pukka83 | Discussion: DesktopX Tutorials

think of this senario. A big boss wants to send a message to everyone on their desktop. Like telling them a urgent meeting @ 11pm.

And also to add like tip of the day: Eat an apple a day.

Yes, It'll act like a noticeboard on all other users DESKTOP in the same network. Where the Big Boss send out the messages and edits the notice board. Is it possible to make such a program in the same network?

You are looking for something like Corporate Command by CerebroJD
You'll have to PM or email him for more information.  The site it was hosted on is now defunct.

It's a gadget by CerebroJD. You use to be able to find it over at the now defunct desktopgadgets.com.

Howdy! It's true that I've built a gadget (powered by RSS/XML) in the past. I would be willing to look into a re-design, if this is a service you'd fine useful. To get us started, I should ask whether your system has a webserver on it anywhere, or any kind of common file-server. If this is going to be a local, non-internet service, that would be an important aspect.

If you'd like to get ahold of me through another method, drop me an email at [email protected]

(Thanks for the heads-up Aaron!)
