Problems with Vista SP1 & Applications
DesktopX won't run under Vista SP1, but worked just fine with regular Vista

Microsoft said that Vista SP1 would offer application compatibility and driver improvements, but what i've experienced is that Vista SP1 delivers more problems than it fixes. And I thought Vista was supposed to be such a good OS (back when I first bought it on January 31, 2007) Overall, Vista works well for me, but after I installed the RC1 version of SP1, DesktopX wouldn't load and windows said something like "dxwidget.exe has stopped working" after startup.
My windows Complete PC Backup & Restore (I own the Business edition) stopped working shortly after I installed SP1 as well. After 4 months, i've decided to revert back to SP0 of Vista, and then DesktopX started to work again. But unfortunately, my Sidebar doesn't work sometimes, and backup still encounters problems. After I start a backup, Windows says that the backup failed, about one second later.
I want to know what's causing my sidebar and backup programs to stop working. The sidebar loads intermittently, and Windows Backup STOPPED WORKING since January. I have yet to see what other problems I have with Vista. I'm gonna stick with Vista SP0. I just hope that Windows 7 will solve these problems.
If you have any problems with Vista SP1, or Vista in general, feel free to reply.
