Yep Mike, I left the UK several years ago to live in the US and one of the the things I miss is a good bar of Cadbury's Chocolate. We can get it here, in most of the supermarkets, however it does not taste the same and I understand that is due to the fact that the ingredients are very different. Something to do with FDA and transportaion of food legislation, I'm told
I usually get back to the UK a couple of times a year and the first thing I do when I arrive at Heathrow is to go to the nearest confectionary outlet and get the biggest bar I can find. A lot of the people out here seem to like Hershey's however it tastes horrendous!!! I liken it to baby poo - not that I've ever tasted the later!!!! Still, I've managed to find a couple of 'sources' in our city who import British goods so I now have an endless supply of Cadbury's, Ribena, Tetley Tea and wait for it........Mr Kiplings amazing Cherry Bakewell Tarts!!!!!........albeit at about three times the UK prices....But hey! What's life without a few comforts from the old home country
