Dreamscapes doesn't function at all!

Greetings!

I'm not really sure what happened. I went to change somethings around my desktop today and Dreamscapes doesn't work. I cranked up Stardock Central to see if there was an update to it. There was and I'm at 2.00.055. Rebooted (crossing fingers) and when it came back up .. still didn't work.

At this point I uninstalled Dreamscapes .. rebooted again. Then reinstalled, rebooted and it still doesn't work.

Anybody have any ideas why?? Yes I'm on Vista Ultimate (64 bit) and my stardock subscription is good till 2/22/09.

I'm kinda miffed that this isn't functioning. ')">

Can you select dreams?
Have you tried the ones that came with DS?  Dynamic and video?

That's the only ones that are currently available. Haven't downloaded any others yet.

Nothing big .. just wallpaper (changed to a dreamscape), icons and mouse pointer. Didn't think it was out of the oridinary

I loaded up Impulse a couple of days ago and it said there was a update for my Dreamscene, so naturally I updated.

Ever since then it says my Desktop manager is not running (uxsms)

Have got it running through command prompt and it shows it running in the processes of the task manager.

still have yet to find a solution!
Show much for spending my $50 bucks for this thing.

Worked get until the update.

If anyone may have a idea it would be great thanks!

I just ran into the same thing. I ran Deskscapes this afternoon prior to this last update and they worked great.One hour ago I got this same error,plus something drove my digital imaging monitor to 85%+ I just did a system restore , now they're working again but clearly, something is wrong. Installed v.2.00.005 Updated to v2.00.058 Let me know if you need more data. Thanks.

I have the same problem!!!One minute it's working then when I install the update then it tells me that my serial number is in valid!!!W.T.F!!!!!!!I have never seen an update stop your software from working!!

I contacted tech support and I am waiting for a response. So I hope they have good news for me.

If you have system restore enabled, that's your best bet right now.I make a restore point daily, so I rolled back to 8:00am. If not, support will find an answer. I would like to update also,when it's working.Just another speedbump.

Wow! Been away for a few days hoping that somebody would have a simple answer. Guess not! Least I know I'm not alone! Has anybody turned in a trouble ticket on this issue?

I think if this isn't solved in a timely manner .. a week to a week and a half. That stardock won't be getting anymore of my money. Hate to say it but .. hey! There's enough people that are having problems that this should be issue #2. As you know .. issue #1 is the U.S. economy!

Deskscapes is just one member of a growing Stardock family. It's got to be tough keeping all the "kids" in line. I also realize that there are more important issues before support right now than background images.(64 bit Vista comes to mind) It's only fancy wallpaper after all, MrBiggz. It wouldn't hurt to submit a ticket with as much detail as possible, but I'm sure they're aware of this by now. I'll just enjoy what works and patiently wait for proper repairs to be made,just like I have to do with all software companies. Restore Pointsare your best friend,everyone. Use them,Please!

Hey it looks as if stardock put out a new update to Dreamscapes. 2.00.058 is the level now. I have to say it's working for me!!!

Odd, that's the one that broke mine.Glad to hear yours is ok now,MrBiggZ .Maybe I should try again.I can always do another restore.
